Gunnison, CO – One Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash on CO-135

Gunnison, CO (August 4, 2020) – A crash on Monday morning claimed one victim’s life in the Gunnison area. At approximately 8:35 a.m., on August 3, the Colorado State Patrol responded to the scene of a crash on Colorado State Highway 135.

Reports provided by authorities show that a 2019 Chevrolet pickup truck hauling a trailer collided head-on with a 2013 Volkswagen sedan near milepost 9. One person involved in the crash was fatally injured. The victim was immediately pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

A second victim was seriously injured in the accident. The injured victim was rendered aid and transported to Gunnison Valley Hospital for further treatment. At this time, the crash remains under investigation.
