Denver, CO – Five Killed in Residential Fire on Truckee St
Denver, CO (August 5, 2020) – An early-morning fire claimed the lives of multiple victims on Wednesday, according to reports. Just before 2:40 a.m., on August 5, the Denver Fire Department responded to the scene of a fire incident on Truckee Street.
Reports provided by authorities show that a residential fire occurred inside the home located at 4212 North Truckee Street for unknown reasons. Firefighters responded to the scene to find the home heavily engulfed in flames. Crews battled the blaze extensively before declaring the fire under control. Three people were able to escape the building by jumping out of windows from an upper story.
Once crews were able to enter the residence, they located the deceased bodies of five victims, including two small children. At this time, the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
