Premises Liability in Colorado
Every year, tens of thousands of people are injured in accidents on another person’s property. In some cases, victims pass away due to the extent of their injuries. A lot of families are unaware of the legal options available to them after losing loved ones.
In Colorado, premises liability cases are able to be filed in some instances where people are injured or killed on another person’s property. The injured party must prove that they were an “invited guest” to the property. Generally, bar patrols are considered invitees, or people who enter the property for business purposes. These guests are owed a duty of care from the property owner. When property owners fail to implement adequate security measures, and their guests are injured, they can be held liable for resulting injuries and damages. Working with Colorado personal injury lawyers will ensure victims get the justice they deserve.
