Ryan Watson
Ryan Watson is an associate attorney in Burg Simpson’s Personal Injury department. Ryan obtained his J.D. at American University’s Washington College of Law, in Washington, D.C., in 2014. During law school, he interned with the Honorable John Ramsey Johnson, of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. Prior to law school, Ryan obtained a B.A. in Chinese and International Studies from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill.
Ryan moved to Colorado in 2018. He worked at a large plaintiff-side personal injury firm in Denver before moving to a small defense firm where he defended insurers and individuals in premises liability, auto injury, defamation, property, and insurance arenas. His experience on the defense side has given Ryan insight into how to build the best case for his clients and knowledge of what to expect. Finally, before joining Burg Simpson, Ryan represented homeowners and property owners through the appraisal and insurance claims process, pursuing bad faith claims against insurance companies for unreasonable delay and denial of benefits. He also enjoys appellate work and has briefed and argued before the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals.
