Taylor Young has over 20 years’ experience helping trial lawyers and their clients gain a second chance when a crucial error has been made at trial. And he has also been there when they need to protect hard-won trial court results—having successfully preserved numerous significant judgments in appellate proceedings. With his background arguing novel and complex legal issues before appellate courts, Taylor is frequently called upon by trial lawyers to help develop legal strategy in advance of trial, provide appellate monitoring during trial, and handle post-judgment proceedings.
Immediately, before embarking on the practice of law, Taylor was privileged to serve as a law clerk to Thomas A. Zlaket, Chief Justice of the Arizona Supreme Court (ret.). His experience at the Arizona Supreme Court reinforced for him the critical need for cogent, thorough, and powerful written legal analysis when seeking to persuade any court.
Taylor also draws upon a multi-faceted professional and educational background. Originally educated as a conceptual video artist, he has served as an audio engineer for a major sports arena, managed a corporate political advocacy program in the telecommunications industry, taught law at a private college for technology geeks, and served as a Faculty Associate in the Management Department of the W.P. Carey School of Business at ASU. A lifetime of learning and teaching, in and out of the law, has given Taylor a keen ability to devise and execute creative and effective legal strategies for his clients and their trial teams.
