Home > Employment > Employee Litigation > Wrongful Termination
In Colorado, wrongful termination is a tort claim which precludes an employer from terminating an employee for exercising a legal right or refusing to forego a statutory responsibility. For example, an employee injured in the workplace has the right to make a claim for workers compensation. If an employer terminates an employee for making a workers compensation claim, the employer has committed a wrongful termination. The employee may be entitled to recover economic damages (such as lost wages) as well as non-economic damages for pain and suffering.
If you believe you have been wrongfully terminated, please call or email us today for a free consultation. At Burg Simpson Eldredge Hersh & Jardine, P.C., our Colorado and Wyoming attorneys represent people like you who have been wronged.
