SJS & TEN Attorneys
in Denver and Nationwide
Steven Johnson's Syndrome (SJS) is considered to be one of the most severe skin reactions to drugs. It is characterized by eruptions in the skin that resemble burns, and epidermal loss. It is often described as the skin burning off from the inside out. The preliminary stages of SJS are marked by fever, sore throat, cough, and burning eyes for as little as one to three days. The skin eruptions can occur on the eyes, mouth, respiratory and GI tract, genitals, and anus. The most severe cases of SJS and Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis (TEN) often result in permanent scarring, photosensitivity, and sometimes blindness.
If you believe you are suffering from either SJS or TEN, please call or email us today for a free consultation. At Burg Simpson Eldredge Hersh & Jardine, P.C., our Colorado attorneys represent people who have suffered such conditions.
