Led by former U. S. Senator and Shareholder Alan K. Simpson, the Burg Simpson Eldredge Hersh & Jardine, P.C. Regulatory and Government Affairs Department provides a wide range of services to our clients with regard to all aspects of Regulatory Law and Government Affairs. In addition to Sen. Simpson's expertise and experience within United States, State, and Local Governments, our lawyers also have extensive contacts within the public sector.
Members of our Regulatory and Government Affairs Department regularly assist clients with statutory and regulatory compliance; proposing of new legislation and changes to existing statutes, rules and regulations; appropriations requests; presentations and proposals to federal, state and local agencies and governing bodies; communicating with elected and appointed officials and regulators; facilitating government contacts and contracting procurement; and general advocacy of our clients interests with federal, state and local government entities, agencies and regulatory authorities.
