Congratulations to Michael S. Burg. Michael Burg has been selected by members of the national legal community for inclusion in 2007's Best Lawyers in America.

Mr. Burg focuses his practice on large, complex litigation, commercial cases, professional malpractice, catastrophic injuries, and mass tort litigation.

Mr. Burg has tried over 150 jury trials. As lead counsel, he has successfully obtained seven jury verdicts in excess of $1 million, including two verdicts in excess of $5 million, and one verdict in excess of $4.5 million. Mr. Burg's clients have received successful settlements in excess of $50 million.

Mr. Burg has been actively involved in a number of mass tort actions, including Phen-Fen, Rezulin, PPA, and Propulsid. In addition, he is a member of the Plaintiff Steering Committee for the Zyprexa Multi-District Litigation and is also a Member of the State Liaison Committee for the Vioxx Multi-District Litigation. Michael S. Burg was recently appointed Plaintiffs' Co-lead and Liaison Counsel by Judge David A. Katz of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio in the Ortho Evra Products Liability Multidistrict Litigation.

Mr. Burg is a frequent lecturer in the Denver community on a variety of topics, including NBI seminars on Trying Complex Commercial Cases, Sports Law, Bad Faith, and Jury Selection. He also served as an Adjunct Professor of Law at the University of Denver College of Law. He earned the rank of Advocate of the American Board of Trial Advocates, and was awarded the title of Life Fellow by the American Board of Trial Advocates. He is also a Sustaining Fellow of the Roscoe Pound Institute. In addition, he has served as a participating faculty member of the ABOTA Masters in Trial Program in Denver, Nashville, Des Moines and Kansas City, training practicing attorneys. Mr. Burg was most recently a speaker at the Colorado and Denver Bar Associations' CLE on Pharmaceutical Torts Cases in Colorado. Mr. Burg also serves as a Trustee of the Board of Directors for the Colorado Symphony Orchestra.

Mr. Burg has achieved the highest rating from his peers for quality of legal work, professionalism, and ethics by receiving an "AV" rating by Martindale-Hubbell. Selected as a Super Lawyer for 2006, Mr. Burg has again been recognized as an exceptional attorney who has attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. Super Lawyers represent an elite top 5% of the practicing attorneys in Colorado who are selected by peer review. Mr. Burg has also been selected as one of the Best of U.S. attorneys in the commercial litigation and personal injury practice areas for 2006.
