Mr. Burg's practice is focused on personal injury claims, product liability, wrongful death claims, gas explosions, commercial litigation and Mass Torts. Mr. Burg is involved in the representation of clients in a variety of settings, including trials, appeals, arbitration and mediation. In addition, Mr. Burg also works with individuals, property owners, manufacturers, general contractors, developers, and subcontractors in construction defect matters.
Mr. Burg's has vast experience in Pharmaceutical litigation. His experience includes work on complex litigation such as Ortho Evra Product Liability Multi-District Litigation, Gadolinium-Based Contrast Agents Product Liability Multi-District Litigation and the Yasmin and YAZ Marketing, Sales Practices, and Products Liability Multi-District Litigation. Mr. Burg is a member of the Plaintiff's Discovery Committee in the YAZ Multi-District Litigation. Mr. Burg currently represents victims and their families involving catastrophic injuries, wrongful death, and insurance bad faith.
Mr. Burg was the winner of Colorado Law Week “Compleat Lawyer” 2010. This award is given to someone who is the whole package – someone with 10 or fewer years of experience who excels legally, generates business, promotes firm values, stays on top of trends and is a strong personality. Additionally, Mr. Burg co-founded the Colorado Judicial Institute Young Professionals Division. The inaugural event was attended by more than 70 of Denver’s top young business and law professionals who have demonstrated their dedication and commitment toward the principles of the Colorado Judicial Institute. The Colorado Judicial Institute was founded in 1979, whose mission is to preserve and enhance the independence and excellence of Colorado courts, to further public understanding of the Colorado judicial system, and ensure that the courts meet the needs of the people.
Mr. Burg donates a substantial amount of his free time to supporting non-profit organizations in Colorado and nationally. Mr. Burg is active in the Anti-Defamation League and is a Glass Leadership Institute 2009 graduate. ADL fights anti-Semitism and all forms of bigotry, defends democratic ideals and protects civil rights for all. Further Mr. Burg is involved in the Southern Poverty Law Center. In addition, Mr. Burg is an Associate Attorney for the ZRBG Pension Project. This project is designed to ascertain pension benefits for Holocaust survivors.
Mr. Burg is active in local and national politics and has been involved numerous campaigns including Mark Udall for U.S. Senate, Michael Bennet for U.S. Senate, John Hickenlooper for Governor, Chris Romer for Mayor Finance Committee. Currently, Mr. Burg serves on Denver Mayor Michael Hancock’s Transition Team.
Stephen Burg earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Wyomingand a Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law Mr. Burg is currently admitted to practice in the State of Colorado.
